Monthly and annual plans are subscriptions — you get full access to Pixosight and every new feature as it ships. Monthly is billed each month and can be cancelled any time; annual is billed once a year and saves 8% vs monthly. The perpetual license is a one-time payment that gives you permanent access to the current release and minor updates, but does not include future major versions or new features that ship after purchase.

Yes — cancel any time. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period. After that, Pixosight will stop accepting license validation and you'll no longer be able to open the application. Your existing exported images and measurement records are yours and stay on your machine.

Yes. Both the monthly and annual subscription plans include a 30-day free trial. You won't be charged until the trial period ends. Cancel any time during the trial and you won't be billed at all. The perpetual license does not include a trial period.

Any camera that Windows recognizes as a capture device — USB cameras, webcams, microscope cameras with USB video output, and industrial cameras using standard UVC drivers. Pixosight uses the standard Windows capture device interface, so no additional drivers or SDKs are needed. If it shows up in Windows, it works with Pixosight.

You calibrate by identifying a feature of known size in your image or live feed — a stage micrometer, gauge block, or calibration slide — marking it, and entering its real-world dimension. Pixosight calculates a pixels-per-unit scale factor and saves it as a named profile, e.g. "6×", "100×", or "Stage A". Calibration is tied to your optical setup: a specific magnification, focal distance, and camera. Keep that setup and the profile reloads instantly in every future session. Change the optics and you calibrate once for the new setup.

Licenses are machine-tied but transferable. If you need to move your license to a new machine or reactivate after a significant hardware change, contact us at info@vcnet.us and we'll take care of the transfer.

Yes, for license validation. If the license server is temporarily unreachable, short-term offline use is supported. Your measurement data and images are always local — nothing is uploaded. If you need to run in an air-gapped or restricted network environment, contact us.
